2021 vs. 2020 Hyundai Kona Changes: Was the Kona Redesigned?

The only significant change with the 2021 Hyundai Kona is the addition of the Night Edition. However, the 2020 Kona did receive available adaptive cruise control and renamed the entire trim lineup. Both of these models are similar to one another in appearance, but the 2021 Kona sports some new technology and customization.

Is the Hyundai Kona Getting an N Line Trim for 2021?

New Hyundai Kona N Line teaser image *Upcoming Hyundai Kona N Line teaser image shown.

There has been speculation of a 2021 Hyundai Kona N Line in the works for quite some time. Unfortunately, we might not see a Hyundai Kona N Line until later in 2021 debuting as a 2022 model. However, it is reported that both the new Hyundai Elantra and Hyundai Sonata are getting N Line trims for the 2021 model year. A new Hyundai Tucson N Line is expected to debut in 2022 as well. N Line is a moniker from the Hyundai N performance division, and something that is all too familiar with the popular Veloster hatchback here in the states. An N Line trim would bring some desired performance to the otherwise sporty Hyundai Kona. It will be well worth the wait if you deserve some performance tuning in your new Hyundai Kona.

2021 Hyundai Kona Reviews & Ratings

There aren't any safety ratings for the 2021 Hyundai Kona yet, but we expect it to fare well. Aside from safety ratings, the reviews of the Hyundai SUV itself are quite favorable. Even Car and Driver lists the top benefits as "cheeky design, gutsy optional turbo engine [and] plentiful standard features."
