The standard configuration includes front-wheel drive paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, while all-wheel drive remains an optional choice. For those seeking optimal fuel efficiency, the hybrid powertrain is an enticing choice. It combines an electric motor with a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, resulting in a commendable output of 226 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. This configuration operates with a six-speed automatic transmission featuring paddle shifters for added control.

Performance & MPG

The EPA has not released their 2024 Santa Fe fuel economy rating, but many experts expect the 2024 Santa Fe to at least be comparable to the 2023. The 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe gets 25 miles per gallon (mpg) in the city and 28 mpg on the highway for the SE, SEL, and XRT trim levels. The optional turbocharged version gets 22 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. The 2023 Santa Fe Hybrid gets 36 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway.

Towing Capacity

Hyundai has announced that the upcoming Santa Fe will have a towing capacity of up to 4,500 pounds. However, to access this maximum capacity, you'll need to opt for the XRT trim, known for its rugged appearance, and include the optional towing package.
